Today, our Vietnam Veterans are still looking for validation to their experiences, and compensation for the damages of the Agent Orange poisoning they have endured. But today those Veterans can finally find some small amount of peace with the Veteran’s Administration’s Agent Orange program that was finalized in 2010. Many Veterans who may not have qualified in the past are now eligible. In an interview, Rock Orozco, Veterans Service Representative at Department of Veterans Affairs in the Hawaiian Islands, told me, “Basically, if you set foot for one day in Vietnam between 1962 and up to 1975, and if you have any of the listed illnesses, you qualify for these benefits.” Below is a summary of the current regulations emailed to me from Mr. Orozco.
