Card-Sending Campaign

The Lipan Veteran Society are organizing a card sending campaign
for our members who are currently serving in the military.
If you have a family member who is currently in the military,
please send his or her name and address to:
Gloria Bumgart
at lipanvet@lipanapache.org.
They will arrange for your service person to receive cards from our members
throughout the year especially during the holidays.
Members, if you are interested in helping the Lipan Vet Society and
want to send cards to our brave service members, contact Gloria
at lipanvet@lipanapache.org.
They will send you a name and address of a service person to receive
your card. Do this once or often throughout the year, the Lipan Vets
appreciate your help.
If you need free cards to send throughout the year,
Quickiecards at
http://shop.quickiecards.com/FREE-GREETING-CARDS-FOR-OUR-TROOPS_c85.htm
will give you cards at no cost to you. In order to get the free cards,
you must select the credit card option at checkout. Their
representative assures us that your credit card, will not be charged
when ordering a card “This card and shipping are free to anyone mailing
to our heroes in the military.” Once the free card has been ordered,
it is sent to you so that YOU can address and send it. There is a
limit of one card per day per customer but you can come back often
throughout the entire year, not just on holidays.
You don’t have to order from QuickieCards, though, to participate in the
Lipan Vet Society's “Remember our Heroes” Card-Sending campaign.
Many of us have cards around the house that also can be used.
Our Lipan Apaches in service would appreciate hearing from a friend,
regardless. Please, contact the Lipan Vet Society to help out.
Xerox also has a card sending website where one can select a card and
message to send to a soldier, any soldier on their list. Xerox’s program is
called “LETS SAY THANKS—SEND CARDS” at
http://www.letssaythanks.com/SendCard.asp.
This order is done online and Xerox takes card of printing and sending the
card on your behalf, free of charge. You do not, however, get to select
who is getting the card but, like QuickieCards, you can send often.
